INFINITY IF18-3 1/8 GP RACING CHASSIS KIT

In 2023 the long awaited IFMAR 1/8 IC World Championship was held at IFS (INFINITY INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY) in Japan. On its official debut 6 out of 10 IF18-3 cars advanced to the final, with team driver Dario Balestri ultimately being crowned 2023 IFMAR World Champion. The new IF18-3 was designed based on data from INFINITY team drivers active all around the world and introduced by them during the 2023 World championships. With increased rigidity and a lower center of gravity, it has outstanding rear traction that significantly exceeds the previous model IF18-2 . Armed with an all new brake system with improved control and drivability the IF18-3 successfully regained the championship title. IF18-3 has multiple part revisions from the previous model, allowing for a wide range of settings with minimal changes to each component, making it adaptable to all track conditions. The INFINITY IF series fuel tank, which has received high praise all over the world, guarantees a stable fuel supply, The new clutch extracts as much power as possible even from 16% nitro fuel, which is mainstream in Europe. The front area has also been improved and the lower suspension has improved crash resistance, now making it possible reproduce track width setup changes more quickly and easily. Of course, it maintains high compatibility with many existing parts, and the design allows you to continue using a wide variety of optional parts, so you can customize it to your liking.

Front section with improved crash resistance
In order to improve the crash resistance of the "Front Lower Arm End", a 7075 hook-shaped spacer has now been added. This helps move the stress at the time of crash to the outside as much as possible, and reduce the bending moment that causes the ball end to break. Also, by sandwiching the hook-shaped tip between the carbon lower arm plates, increase stiffness. The central turnbuckle is M4 on the inside and M3 on the outside, increasing the thickness of the "Front Lower Arm End".

In addition, the 2mm pin extends to the edge of the 7.8mm ball on the outside, maintaining rigidity from the inside. Carbon lower arm plates are available in the same 6.5mm and 8mm as before.

Newly designed servo saver spring
The spring constant of the servo saver spring has been increased so that it can be used without being over tightened, this helps with a neutral initial steering response while maintaining excellent front end grip on corner exit.

Low center of gravity engine mount
The engine mount is milled on the chassis and lowers the center of gravity by 1mm, contributing to improved stability.

Newly designed side stiffener
Vertical rigidity can be increased with optional carbon plates (R0390) on both sides.

Newly designed middle shaft mount with integrated muffler stay
The middle shaft mount is integrated with the muffler stay, allowing the flex of the upper deck to be uniform the left and right.

Newly designed belt tensioner
In addition, an adjustable belt tensioner with a 0.5mm eccentricity is provided on the 18T pulley on the front belt side to prevent tooth jumping. Similarly, an adjustable belt tensioner with a 0.5mm eccentricity is provided on the 18T pulley of the middle belt to prevent tooth jumping.

Newly designed brake and brake mount
The brake mount has been extended in the front-rear direction and contributes to improved chassis rigidity.

The rear stabilizer is also now mounted lower to lower the center of gravity and improve sway bar performance.

Newly designed brake double piston Ver.2

The brake piston is offset from the fulcrum to equalize the surface pressure during braking. As first featured in the IF15-2 the "double piston system" now features two different diameter pistons to further contribute to the uniformity of surface pressure.

Newly designed large diameter ventilated brake discs
Drilled and ventilated brake discs with excellent heat dissipation have been increased in diameter from 28mm to 30mm for increased stopping power. The brake pad area has more than doubled from 103± to 217±. Teflon-based material stabilizes friction force.

Newly designed upper deck stiffener and stiffener pivot
The upper deck is a normal "open" type, and in order to be able to adapt to all situations, both front and rear sections can be tuned using optional carbon stiffeners. Front(R0388) /Rear(R0391).

Newly designed throttle servo mount
In addition, the throttle linkage post has been moved 22mm forward to allow the use of "Low Profile Throttle Servos". Longer brake/throttle linkage rod and throttle linkage spring. By reversing the throttle servo assembly direction, a low-pro servo can be mounted without issue.

Newly designed rear upper arm with easier camber adjustment
The rear upper rod has been extended by 3.5mm through mold modification to allow for easy adjustment of all camber settings.

Newly designed wide range upper arm holder
By using the front upper arm bushings for the rear carbon upper arm holder it is now possible to adjust camber link length in 6 positions without the need for 2 different arm holders as with the previous model.

Newly designed lightweight centering section
The centering plate is integrated with the damper stay to reduce the weight on the overhang. In addition, normal or reverse style centering can be chosen with just one part, allowing for quick set up changes.

New lightweight body mount
The body mount has also been shortened by 10.5mm to reduce the weight on the overhang. The optional R0337 carbon body mount set also adapts to the same mounting position by omitting the 10.5mm post.

Newly designed main chassis
The main chassis is based on the multi-flex chassis from IF18-II, now the front and rear rigidity can be adjusted with a carbon plate.

Newly designed chassis stiffener F
The optional carbon plate on the front side has mounting holes that allow weight to be attached.

Newly designed chassis stiffener R
It is also possible to put R0393 CHASSIS STIFFENER R on the rear or "just fix an "M3x8mm Button Head Screw" into the center hole on the front side of the suspension holder".

Newly designed battery plate
The battery plate can now be mounted with just two points to optimize chassis flex.

Newly designed main chassis
The top center section of the chassis is milled 0.5mm and it is now possible to lower the radio box by up to 2mm by adding spacers.
